Finished with a gunmetal grey anodised coating for exceptional durability, the Hundo is precision-cut from a solid 6061-T6 aluminium bar stock using Bates' 9-axis CNC machine to provide unmatched strength, rigidity, and long-lasting performance.
Beyond the smaller and more palm-able 100-sized frame, the Hundo Casting Reel boasts the Bates Fishing Co's new Dual Matrix braking system and a shallower spool so anglers can easily dial in and cast lightweight lines and fishing lures. Packed with upgraded internal components as well, the Hundo includes lightweight aluminium gears and an improved combination of 10 HAC stainless-steel bearings, two high-precision NMB ball bearings, and a one-way stainless-steel bearing. I liked the Hundo so much I immediately ordered a second one, and then an LTS as well. I fish Daiwa Steez rods, and most Shimano reels dont fit the reel seats well. I guess Daiwa designed the reel seats in such a way that it prefers Daiwa reels. The Hundo however fits perfectly, and being so light and small, just makes the perfect match for the techniques like jerkbait, where you need to twitch baits for hours. I agree with all the reviews out there, the Hundo reels are stunning to look at, built like tanks, weighs virtually nothing, purely functional and will likely last a lifetime.

Best reel I have ever owned.
This reel is on another level. The quality, the strength and the smoothness of this reel truly sets it apart from its competitors. I am loving every minute of having this reel and I'm looking forward to getting more!

Quality Reel
Hundo 100 is a great quality small reel that’s super light and easy to palm. The build quality of the reel is fantastic, since it’s made from one piece of billet aluminium its built to last. Which is what you want in a high-end reel, and it looks the part too. The reel has plenty settings which allows you to finely tune it to what ever type of bait you are using. I have mine mounted to a ALX Speedfury for weightless finesse fishing and it didn’t disappoint.
